Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What grade levels do you serve?

We currently serve Kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12) and are excited to grow with our students through

every stage of their educational journey.

What curriculum do you use?

Faith Academy uses a hybrid model that blends traditional teaching and digital learning. We partner with

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) for upper-grade flexibility and supplement it with biblically integrated curriculum

and teacher-led instruction. Students receive a strong academic foundation while developing Christian

character and critical thinking skills.

Do you accept scholarships?

Yes! We accept Step Up For Students Scholarships, including:

- Florida Tax Credit (FTC)

- Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO)

- Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA)

Apply for Step Up Scholarships Here: https://www.stepupforstudents.org

Does the school provide lunch?

At this time, lunch is not provided. We believe in giving parents the freedom to choose what's best for their

child nutritionally.

Students are required to bring lunch from home Monday through Friday.

Please ensure lunches are ready-to-eat, as refrigeration and microwaves are not available in every

classroom.

What is the school's policy on medication?

We believe parents should have the primary voice in decisions about their child's health. If your child requires

daily or emergency medication, our office will work with you to ensure proper forms are on file and a

parent-directed health plan is in place.

Please contact us during registration if your child has any medical needs we should be aware of so we can

plan accordingly.

Is there a dress code or uniform?

Yes. All students are required to wear a school uniform to promote unity, modesty, and academic focus.

A uniform link (Amazon Wishlist) will be provided to families who have completed enrollment, so uniforms can

be ordered and shipped directly to your home.

What if my child has an IEP or special learning need?

Yes, we do accept IEPs and support students with academic learning needs. A copy of the IEP must be

submitted at registration so our team can review it and determine how best to support your child.

We collaborate with local school districts to ensure compliance in supporting the academic goals outlined in

the IEP.

However, please note that we are not equipped to support complex medical or behavioral IEPs, and we do

not provide self-contained or inclusion-based classrooms. All students will participate in grade-level general

education classrooms. If we determine that a student's needs are beyond what we can provide with fidelity,

we will transparently communicate that and assist in finding alternative support.

What does the school day look like?

The school day runs from 8:30 AM - 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday. Students engage in core academics,

creative enrichment, spiritual development, and leadership-building activities throughout the day.

- Arrival Window: 8:00-8:30 AM

- Instruction Begins: Promptly at 8:30 AM

- Dismissal Window: 2:45-3:15 PM

Is transportation provided?

At this time, transportation is not provided. Families are responsible for drop-off and pick-up. We ask that

students arrive between 8:00-8:30 AM and are picked up between 2:45-3:15 PM.

What type of faith-based instruction is provided?

Faith Academy is a Christ-centered, Spirit-led environment. Students participate in daily prayer, Bible

lessons, and weekly chapel services, with opportunities to grow in their knowledge of God and personal

relationship with Him.

What are your expectations around behavior?

We believe in cultivating a positive and restorative culture rooted in love, accountability, and growth. Our

approach is proactive, focusing on clear expectations, consistent structure, and building strong relationships.

In order to qualify for enrollment, students must have completed the prior school year without suspensions or

repeated behavior referrals.

What behavior models do you use?

Faith Academy incorporates restorative practices and character development to help students take

responsibility and grow from mistakes. We focus on heart change, not just behavior management. Our staff is

trained to implement proactive strategies and create a safe, supportive classroom culture.

What enrichment or extracurricular opportunities are available?

We are building out enrichment opportunities such as art, music, chapel leadership, physical education, and

community service. As we grow, we plan to introduce more clubs and electives aligned with students'

interests and Kingdom purpose.

How can families stay connected and involved?

We value strong school-family partnerships! Parents can engage through:

- Quarterly family nights & open house events

- Monthly newsletters

- Volunteer opportunities

- Parent prayer groups

- Semester town hall meetings
